Fuse for water heater?

I'm trying to track down the 12V fuse for my LP/Elec water heater on my 1998 Mountain Aire - Gas. I couldn't get the WH to light, so I was checking to see if the fuse link had failed. Well, I disconnected the fuse link to check it and it was fine, but I had left the switch on and I caused a spark before I reconnected the fuse link. No there's now power to the switch at all. I'm assuming a fuse has blown, but I cannot find a water heater fuse with the rest of the fuses in the bedroom. Any suggestions where to look?

On my 2006, there is a fuse on the water heater control module, as well as the fusible link. I don't think there is another fuse, and my application might be all wrong for your situation. Hope this will help...

Welcome to the forum and irv2.
Below in my signature are links to many items for your Newmar.
Looking in the Tech link find your type water heater and see if it helps you, the RV Appliance link will also have water heaters.
The 110 volt switch should be off if you do not have water in WH because you will burn out the heating element in WH. There is also a small black switch on face of WH that shuts of the heating element.
If you can gain access to back of WH you may find a in line fuse on the back of it.
My MA gas had all the fuses where you found them, fuse could also be not marked correctly or doubled up with another circuit.
Give us a follow up as to your progress.

Thanks for the help and suggestions. I found the fuse, it was sharing a fuse with the Fantastic vent. A quick fuse change and I have power to the switch again. However, as I was digging around the water heater itself I discovered that the control module was cracked, likely causing the issue I was troubleshooting to begin with. Thanks!

For clarification was the location of the fan/heater "shared fuse" in the bedroom and if not where was it located?

Thanks for the update and glad you are back in business.

The fuse panel was in the bedroom. Both the Fantastic Vent and the water heater shared the same 7.5 fuse, however the fuse was labeled for the vent, but not for the water heater.

Thanks for the help.
