Gasket for 50amp cord and fresh water hose entry
Does anyone know of a better quality gasket to put for the 50amp and fresh water hose entry areas?? ours are less than a year old and already falling apart....

I have had 3 Class A rigs, still have the third one and a TT over the last 30 years and I have never had to think about this. I would probably look at a noodle and see if that worked.
What problem are you trying to solve?

AMEN...watching this one..... Tired of the rubber "seals" coming out with the hose when removed.

Yes, the New Aire gaskets were worn after a year and the London Aire already show signs of failure. The rubber needs to be made of a more dense material. Good project to come.

Both of mine are still good, but I use a racquetball in the opening to seal the water bay slot while travelling. It fits just right and doesn't move.

The seal at the 50 amp cord "port" on our 2019 Ventana LE is coming apart. The water port seal seems fine so far.
Looking at the Uni-Grip website now.....lots of options! Now to figure out which seal I need.

The gasket on our KS kept coming loose or pulling out with the cord. I watch the service tech replace it twice under warranty. It appears to be the same gasket that goes around the door with the hard edge trimmed off and glued in place with a black caulking glue. That gasket material was so thick it grabbed the power cord too tightly and would pull out, overcoming the glue, when removing the cord.
The final solution was a thinner piece of gasket material glued in the same position - same method. It only lightly touches the power cord and does not get pulled out. Was working great for the last 6 months. Sold the RV last month. Sorry I don't have better info on the gasket or pictures.

Instead of the gasket which I admit is easy to use I was thinking of going more rodent proof at some point and using a 3D printer to make 2 halves of a clamshell that would surround the cord/hose and then fit snugly into that slot in the floor. Hold the 2 halves together w/ some embedded magnets.
I put bronze wool around the cord - but just last weekend the mouse trap I keep at the 50amp cord entrance did its job.
I know if I was in the business of manufacturing mid-range to high end RVs I'd raise my prices a bit learn from the auto industry and really seal up the basement / frame rails etc. and make that a selling point.
