Do you have a FL chassis? This problem has happened to many FL chassis owners.

"jumpingjack".......Can you tell us what the actual failure is. If it seems to be leaking, it's most likely the overflow tube which many of us have extended, solving the leaking issue.

DSDon. Gearbox problem was the seal was leaking. Found out after the fact that gear box has to be serviced (drain and replace fluid) every 15K miles. No one told me that when I replaced original gear box. Not in FL manual. Anyone experience this??

I had my fan gear box replaced also with about 30,000 miles on it. The seal was also the problem.

In my manual it says to change the fan gearbox oil at 6,000 miles and 30,000 miles.

I thought my seal was going bad too! When you look at it, fluid is running right over the seal. After thoroughly cleaning, I found the overflow tube was the issue. It comes straight up the tube, out the tube and back down the side of it, over the seal. I finally extended the tube to about 16" and secured it to the fan shroud. No more issues.

My manual also says to flush and add new oil at 6K.
