Generator charging question

On the Silver Leaf panel should there be a green “charging” symbol next the the chassis/house readouts when the generator is running. We are not hooked up to shore power and system reads: house 12.4v and chassis 12.2v and does not seem to be charging off of the generator?

Generator should provide EXACTLY the same charging function(s) as shore power.

If not, have you confirmed other 120 VAC items like roof A/C are working on generator?

I’m not familiar with a green charging symbol, but Silverleaf will show you the current power source (Shore, Generator, or Inverter). If those battery voltages are shown while the generator is running, then it’s not charging your batteries. Do you have power to items that don’t run off the inverter (ie washer/dryer)? If generator is running and you have no power to those items, I would start by taking a look at the breaker on the generator.

You need to go to your dc panel and see that the invert shows charging and what state it is in. The lightning bolt does not come on until the house batteries have reached 12.8 for an extended period of time and then it ties both sets together engaging the charge solenoid. Post a pic of the dc panel screen.

Pic of DC screen

Attached is a couple of pics of the screen. The a/c runs with the generator on it just seems as though the batteries are not charging correctly.

Generator not providing power. Check the breaker on top of generator

I cannot find any type of breaker on the generator just a toggle on/off switch. The air conditioners run so I assume the generator is supplying power the batteries just do not seem to be charging correctly but must be getting some type of charge as I am parked and do not have shore power.

Really weird. The second picture clearly shows that your inverter is supplying power. The first picture clearly shows that the house batteries are supplying the power for the inverter. The air conditioners need shore power or generator to run. They are not fed from inverter so how can this be? Why is your block heater on? Turn it off and see if anything changes. BTW, do you have your block heater circuit breaker off? Sometimes that will cause some very weird situations. I will keep pondering this but please let us know what you find.

What is shown under the AC power tab? It should show the voltage and current draw for each leg, but I’m guessing it doesn’t, because if it did, it would show up on the main screen.

So you’re hooked up to shore power and the AC works, so you definitely have power but it’s not showing up on Silverleaf display. I would venture to guess that either the transfer switch isn’t connected to the RV-C bus, thus the TM-102 doesn’t know it has shore power, or more probable the TM-102 is acting up, possibly due to known charge bridge flyback diode issue. I would reboot the TM-102 (temporarily pull the MAIN connector) and see if that resolves the issue.

I am not hooked up to shore power, the air conditioning works when generator is on as does everything else except the charging of the batteries. A/C screenshot below.

Go to the DC page and change the charger setting to on and see what happens

Yes, I think the OP has the charger setting wrong under the DC page. We probably will hear back shortly.

Check the inverter/chargers built in circuit breakers. If tripped, no charging.
