Generator- hot weather
Is it ok to run generator all niight? We are in Kentucky and it's a balmy 90 at 8:30 at night. I've never run the generator all night. We are at a Cracker Barrel restaurant.

Yep, go for it.
You should probably check the oil before running it so long, just to make sure it's OK.

If you have an air cooled generator it is possible that it will overheat and shut down. We had that happen with our '00 Dutch Star with propane generator.
But you can let the generator run all night if you need to but you do have to be aware of exhaust gas poisoning and take precautions. Your rig should have a detector, just be sure it's working and on.

No problem. I've run for days in the 90s. Check all fluid levels. Coolant is important also.

Just make sure all compartments and vents are closed tightly. Carbon monoxide is not your friend. You will probably be able to turn off the generator about 2 AM.

We do it often in Walmarts and Travel Centers.
The exhaust shoots out of the pipe and disperses into the surronding air, unless you are parked against some kind of wall, trapping it. I would be more concerned with the ehxaust from a MH next to me.
Of course, keep your CO detector working.

Our generator will set off our CO alarm if the wind is just right, so I'd make very sure your CO detector works well. We have two as I don't trust just one, one which came with the coach and a second which has a display which indicates the concentration of CO in the air.

I run mine all the time with no issues. It's there to keep you cool. Use it!

I've set out on trips and have had my generator run all week non-stop. But of course, your services should be kept up to date.
I will always do a service at the end of the week, approx. 100-120 hours.

One of the most robust pieces of equipment installed in your coach! As others have stated, ensure all fluid levels are where they need to be and "let it rip". They are designed to run continuously and actually proven to perform better when used regularly.

Oil a little low.
Had to add a little over 1/2 quart. I had synthetic 10/30, so that's what I used. When I get back from this trip I'll change the oil and filter. I could get t serviced while on the road, but think I'll just wait until I get home.
Ran great for 16 hours straight.
