Generator Slide stuck or no unlatched?

Trying to slide Generator out on my 04 MADP to replace headlights (one has moisture on the inside).

I have released the manual latches up front, pulled the T handle and locked it open with a vice grip.

Can't budge the slide.

I need to confirm that the T handle latch/lock is, in fact released, but haven't located it. Its tight under there and visibility is limited.

Anyone deal with this situation before?

Got it open! Accidentally.

With T handle vice griped out I stepped up on the steps and it popped out a couple inches. Must be a spring back in there that keeps tension on the lock.

Now onto new headlight install!

You need to crawl under there and spray lube on the locking mechanism and work it a lot of times to make sure it will function easily. I had the same problem and on my coach, the latch is at the rear in the center.

Hi - I have found when having that problem that putting a hip into the slide front and causing the genset to rock will get the latch to spring open. (It compresses the spring that holds the latch in place). Then as mentioned above lube it with a dry lube. A grease based lube will pick up dirt and cause more problems in the future.

Thanks for the information!
Currently parked nose to nose in covered storage so can’t slide out all the way. I will move it later today or tomorrow so I can get at the latch. I lubed the front and rear rollers, should be able to access more when slide out all the way.
