Sounds like a bad connection somewhere, but maybe coach battery GROUND issue, or GEN ground, some owners find. SOLENOIDS and the small RELAYS CONTACTS can also be the cause. MY OLD (94) little Nissan truck had INTERMITTENT*** SLOW CRANK issues for years that got treated w/ terminal cleanings, and new batteries, but finally decided wrong last year "must be starter", but NO, AND noT IGN switch, (which also got changed); problem was the little $10. CUBE RELAY on wheel-well under hood. ON GEN, can even be a little relay on the circuit board on GEN itself, if all else fails. (** Usually, after coming off interstate (i.e. HOT) and buying/ filling gas, would barely crank and not start, but after 3-5 more minutes cooling, would crank. start normal). GOOD LUCK..... and TIP: IF YOU EVER CHANGE A device (like FUEL PUMP) that has a small relay, also change the RELAY.
