Genny Drain Plug Question

I have used Search and getting conflicting sizes for Genny Oil Drain Plugs. Called Cummins/Onan and they could only give Part Numbers.
I am wanting to install Quick Oil Drain Plugs on a QD8000 and QD10000.
The 8000 is on a 4081 DS, the problem is clearance, when pulling out the Genny, there is a Frame Bar, that Bar would Hit a Funmo Quick Drain. The best to get a “No Spill” compact to work. The 10000 no clearance problems. No Spill doesn’t know the Sizes. This is where you Pro’s chime in…
QD8000. Is it 1/4”npt or 3/8npt
QD10000 need thread size
Thanks

I have a Fumoto valve on my ISL, but just use the drain plug on the generator. Just a thought.....how often are you changing the generator oil. The 8000 only holds about 3 gallons. The purpose of the Fumoto is to help with the large quantity of oil in the ISL. Will it be worth the effort with the generator? They already drain slow, will the Fumoto make it even slower.

With that said, you don't need to slide the generator all the way out to drain the oil, so you can slide it out just enough to avoid that cross bar. The bigger question will the cover plate close with the Fumoto valve.

An 8000 holds 3 gallons of oil??? My 10K only holds 6 quarts.

The 10K and 12.5K Onan holds 6 quarts of oil. I think the 8K holds less. Being up front as it is I would not install a valve that hangs below. And definable not on the engine either.
