Genny Hr. Meter

We have a 2000 DSDP with the gen. hr. meter mounted below the rear camera screen. It's stuck and only clicks, the numbers won't move. Anyone ever replace one? I tried to pull it from the dash, but it really doesn't want to move. I don't want to tear up the dash getting it out. Is there something I should know about how to get it out for replacing???

Here is a link to a PDF document of various types of hour meters. Included is a side profile of the meters which may help you figure out how to remove it. www.helmarparts.com/v/vspfiles/pdf/catalog/Meters.pdf‎

Good Luck!

If it is a Hobbs round face meter, there is likely a U shaped bracket on the back. Remove the 2 nuts, and it comes out the front, to be save disconnect the battery, lots of "hot" wires behind there.

Thanks Shaman52, link now works for me. Found the type of meter(rectangular), but still not sure how to remove old one from dash.

If your dash has removable panels and has screws in them remove screws and tip panel so you can work behind it.
Looking at dash panel in brochure I see screws that can be removed to get behind the plastic dash panel.
