This plastic or rubber hose has come out of the ending of the awning housing. It looks like it got tangled up and was pulled out when the awning was extended. It’s hollow and doesn’t contain any wire. Does anyone know what it does?

Never saw a drain of any type in the awning assembly. Can't imagine there would be a need for a drain and that is so small it would clog easily. Might be the piping that secures the end of the material to the drum.

Just from looking at the picture, it looks like it's the width of the awning and got pulled out from under the awning. Again, just looking at it, it looks like it needs to run, left to right under the awning. I would first untangle and see if it logically fits into something underneath the material.

Surely you can send that picture to Girard Customer Service. Having had 2 MHs w the Girard Nova awnings, I have not seen anything that looks similar.

Good Luck!

Isn't there a wiper that looks like a plastic bead for the top of the awning as it enters the cartridge? That may be what your dealing with.
