Am on the road, and find I need a Newmar fix. The threaded steel stop/adjuster rod snapped yesterday, and I'm on the road. I'll be in Biloxi for a week, and then going to Tunica for a week.
Anyone know a good tech in either area?

soricobob welcome to the Newmar forum and irv2.
Where is this rod that your talking about.
If it has something to do with bedroom slide we have a fix.
If not than do as Bob suggested.
Enjoy the forums and do post often.

Of course Carl was the first person I called, but he said he never heard of this happening, and would get back to me. It is the slide directly behind the driver.
I'm in Biloxi, so I am thinking that I might want to speak to Pappy about it, since he's now in Pensacola. I'll be here a week, and the next place I'll be more than 2 days is Tunica, and am waiting to hear if Memphis has anyone who can do this job.
I'll be in Albuquerque for a week, and know there's a Newmar dealer there, but don't know if they're any good.
Then I'll be home (Gilbert,AZ) for 2 weeks, and haven't found anyone there(yet)who I would have faith in.

Mine broke also, fixed it with a coupler from Ace. You should be able to remove the broken piece and continue to use the slide just stopping it manually.

Leisure Tyme in Pensacola is one of Newmar's top rated dealerships for owners in transit. 1-800-472-4437, ask for service. ED

Thanks to everyone for the help. I called Carl back, since I hadn't heard from him since Saturday, and spoke with Jeff. He hooked me up with a dealer in Memphis (3-way conversation), and the replacement will be made when I visit there in a few weeks.
Jeff said there is nothing urgent, just monitor the slide as it opens so that it shuts off when it should.
