There are two ways to receive traffic data, yes there is an option to receive it via FM radio, but there is no easy way to confirm you ACTUALLY have the proper receiver in a cord. I have one of those on my Garmin I use for the car, however I can confirm they ONLY work in LARGE cities, as you need to be within a short distance of a radio station which provides such broadcasts.
The MAJORITY of the time while driving the RV, (in small towns or out on open stretches of highway, this will not work) THAT is the reason Garmin provided the ability for your cell phone (which CAN access the internet the majority of the time) to receive this data.
