Intersting discussion over on the Entegra site regarding this subject. I think those guys are really on to something. I'm going to replace mine with a Studor vent and see how it works. The only question remaining is whether one needs to seal off the washer standpipe...lots of differing views on that.

DW has a very sensitive nose, and we have never had an issue. You could seal it in storage so there are no odors when the P trap water evaporates. Then again if it is sealed would you even need the P trap? Interesting.
