Grey tank filling on it's own

Hello friends. Just closed grey tank this week after a summer on FHU. The next morning I had water leaking from under rig. Searched house, no water anywhere. And no water running. Pulled grey valve open and it was full. After it drained the water leak stopped. Closed valve again while I checked every water source, tap, shower fridge....everything. Hour later pulled valve again and several gallons of fresh water came out. I have noticed in the past when filling the fresh tank, it the water pump gets turned on water is directed to the grey tank. Possibly water is getting through my pump and diverting into grey tank? All help is very appreciated. I will be heading out to try and disconect a line from the water pump to see what happens.

John

Grey tank and fresh shouldn't be connected by anything. The only way for water to get to the grey tank is through the drains. Something is dripping somewhere. Washing machine?

Thanks dizcom, washing machine hasn't been checked yet. Will do that right now.

Two ways for city water to enter the fresh tank .

Defective fresh tank fill valve and the reverse flow valve in the 12 volt pump head.

Hight city pressure can cause either to fail .
Do you use a quality city water pressure regulator ?
