Half Bath Door Handle

On a 2017, 4369 DS has anyone changed the door latch on the half bath, if so was there a lot of modifying?...where did you get the latch?
Thanks
Arty

Hi - Following as I've had the issue with 2 different DS. Can't tell you how many times I have caught a belt loop catch on the door handle.

I replaced mine with a mobile home interior lock set.

I replaced ours with a round knob type door latch. Got tired of catching belt loops and went to Lowe’s and found a keyless, no lock interior door latch that matched the color of the cabinet pulls. It was and easy change out.

I would like to know that part number. I tried several of those door latches from Home Depot and Menards. None of them fit without re-drilling the hole and re-aligning the latch. Gave up. Still stuck with that door handle that catches everything. Also, would like a locking door latch. There have been a couple of embarrassing moments when someone walked in and used the half bath and then someone unbeknownst came in as well.

I replaced mine with a round door knob, no more catching pants on the handle. It was a straight swap.

There is an old post where someone used one like in the photo below. It required some additional shimming to get it to fit. This one below says it's a standard door knob......

I got this from Amazon, MUCH better than the original, took just a bit of modification, but not much.

What kind of modification did you have to do? The ones I purchased from home stores didn’t fit and it seemed like a big project to make it fit.

The best fix would be to marry the two handles together. Leave the original arm n the outside, or change to the round knob I used and install the flip handle just on the inside. It would look the same when the door is closed, but give you more room when the door is open.

Just a recommendation. When you look at those flip handles, many say (Not standard). I'm 6'2" and 325 pounds. The half bath is my bathroom per the wife.....having the round door knobs worked well for me, so I didn't experiment any further.
