Thanks Dirk, this must be their answer to a E-mail request for a brochure for just the handicap unit by itself.
Its allot better this way by actually seeing it in operation.
With the Ford chassis it can be modified for a handicap driver thats able to drive.
Member rollbob has his modified.

Saw one of these units in production, during my factory tour on 10/25/2011-- I don't know if it had been sold to a retail customer; but it sure will make someone happy..

Its the first time in years I have had Newmars that they have decided to add to their lineup a coach for handicap..
They have provided some good features.
They did provide after the fact modifications in earlier years.

They made a mid engine diesel Allstar wheelchair accessible unit in 2008/09. They manufactured 3 of these before the economy cratered. We have one of those. Dennis Walters, the paraplegic golfer has one, and a couple from Canada has the other.

We are very happy they have added the Canyon Star option again. We visited with Mahlon Miller when we were there last year and asked him if they had plans to do this again. He said he would talk to his son about it. I guess he did, and they made a great decision.

We are asked often in our travels about Newmar's availability of wheelchair accessible coaches and until now we were only able to tell people we hoped they would re-institute production. They have.

I recognize that lift as one that is used on school buses. I drove a handicap bus for a couple of years and like that lift the best of the ones we had on our buses here inHolland.
