Has anyone changed their Directv Service Address lately?

Weve not done this before, but may try it this winter leaving the Billing Address in the frozen north behind, .temporarily. Appreciate any guidance this year on what appears to be an old problem with Direct.

Our service is for the RV only, not a sticks and bricks address, since we're full-timers. Don't know if that makes a difference in your situation, but we've changed the service address a few times on our summer cross country trip and it seemed smoother than the past few years. I've called 877-407-4720 and gone through the speech about wanting to change the service address ONLY, not the billing address, for our RV. This is the moving department, but they've seemed to understand the concept of RVs moving to new campgrounds. Once the change order is entered, ask for a push so that the change is done immediately. We've been averaging 10-15 minutes from call to local channels.

Now, we'll be trying to change our location Wednesday. Hopefully I haven't just jinxed us!

I change my local spot beamed channels all the time- just call in & give them your new address along with county & state you're in & they will switch over your local stations for you.

I have better luck calling 1-888-388-4249

Not sure about DirectTV, but with DISH I used to call in every time, but now I just use the app. It's awesome.

I full time and I have done it quite frequently, every 2 weeks or so. Call 855 333 0032 and at the prompt say "speak to the movers dept". This has worked well for me. Tell them I move frequently and want to change my service address to get local channels. Had all kinds of issues last year but they seem to have everyone trained now. And I always try to call during business hours.

I changed ours a few months ago with no issue and will be changing it back today to my home addr. Usually goes OK, but sometimes I have to explain. I'll post back later and let you know how it went.

When you call DirecTV, tell them you want to change your SERVICE location (not your billing location). At one time, if you did this you might loose any recorded programs you have.

Just called in-- took 3 minutes to change to a new service address
