Have trouble opening the front hood on your Ventana?

A piece of aluminum, some VHB tape and a little paint and your troubles are over. Pics are hood closed and latched, and then unlatched.

As you can see it’s not too offensive closed (I need to re-paint mine) and pull the latch and you have just enough material to easily open the thing instead of trying to grasp the fiberglass “grille”.

Others have put a stainless coil spring so when you pull the handle to open the hood, it springs open a bit. I posted an Amazon link for 10 of them on a prior post. Cheap fix.
