HDMI cable has broken end

The HDMI cable that plugs into the main satellite receiver has a broken end. Just how far is it from the receiver to the junction box to replace this cable.
From what I can see, it goes into the wall and towards the rear of the passenger side slide. Does anyone know of a panel in the cupboard(s) that can be removed to replace this ?

You'll probably get some responses if you add the year, model, and floor plan of the coach you are talking about to your post! They're all different I would suspect.

It is 2019 is it still under warranty? I would check with Mfg / Dealer without delay just in case.

During interim a picture would help to clarify what you mean by "broken"?

I actually decided to NOT buy one coach (well it was not the only reason); because it was not prewired with HDMI and the dealer said they would NOT even try to as it was too involved wiring through a slide. The coach I have is prewired with HDMI and splitter. A good cable installer should be a able to replace an existing run or maybe fix the connector, but ANY body will need to look at and see first to say for sure.

I haven't chased mine down, but that HDMI cable goes from the sat receiver to the HDMI splitter (which on my 2019 DS 4018) is in the pass thru bay on the driver's side. With that said, Newmar used Cat 5 cable to cut down on HDMI runs. You need to find out if that HDMI cable goes into the wall and possible converts to Cat 5 down by the televator. The it would b a short pull if possible.

HDMI cables are not repairable. I broken one a couple of years ago and no one could/would repair it. They sell an end that you can do your own repair, but it requires a lot of specialty soldering and identification of the wires. There is no predetermined color code, different HDMI cable makers use different colors.

BTW, video is run on CAT6 or better. CAT5 doesn't pass the required data bandwidth for video. At least good video (4K which is now the standard).
The technology is either HDBaseT (likely) or Video over IP (expensive, flexible but less likely in an RV).

I have a hdmi cable broken too. Came from the factory that way. The cable is the main feed from the AV cabinet to the distribution panel. Itís broken behind the kitchen sink, where it enters the distribution panel.

To replace it is non-trivial; and I donít want the dealer tearing up a bunch of other wiring to feed a new cable in.

My plan is to relocate the Amazon Fire Stick into the area near the distribution panel; then all will work.

Repair

May be hard to repair but it might be the best solution. Never tried and I doubt it is easy.

Could you tape new HDMI cable to old and pull old cable up at AV cabinet above televator?
