Here's a neat interactive map from Michigan Dept of Transportation. Part of I-75 is closed just south of Detroit so it looks like the full Interstate route is I-94 from Sarnia crossing to I-275 then south to I-75. Or, go much further west to US 23 and take this south to bypass Toledo. https://mdotnetpublic.state.mi.us/dr...e.mi.us/drive/

Come in through Windsor, take the bridge. Make your way over to US-24 and take that south into Ohio where it will cross I-75

If you can't fix it with Duct tape, you must have an electrical problem

For a nicer ride south, consider taking I-77 south.

If you are going to Destin I would take 23 south to 475 (take the west loop around Toledo)around Toledo to 24 west (pick it up off 475 in Waterville Ohio) to I-69 in Fort Wayne Indiana to I-65 in Indianapolis then stay on I-65 south all the way to Montgomery Al. then pick up 331 south thru to the beaches on the gulf and pick up 98 west to Destin. We go that way all the time .We stay in DeFuniak Springs Fl. some. Much Much better than I-75 . Cleaner- Faster- Nicer and we think Safer. And yes we have went LOT'S of ways including I-75 !!

That route is a good one also. Try not to be there during rush hour as traffic can be heavy and slow. Road conditions are good as Michigan roads go.

For Destin I would go with post #7 or from sarnia take 69 to 65 then follow directions from post #7
also 65 is flatter then 75..

My favorite route to Florida is crossing at Buffalo and taking 90 79 19 77
26 95 but Destin is a bit out of the way for this route and the hills are bigger.

Yes the I-24 to I-69 to I-65 to 331 is all great roads with no low bridges . We travel it in a class A motorhome . Plenty of Walmart etc. to overnite in . We prefer overniting in welcome centers or rest areas . They have security at many and they are clean and safe . It's also as short a route or shorter than I-75 . The I-77 is nice IF YOU are going to central or eastern Florida first . Not good for where you are going first .

Just watch out for the toll at the bridge going from IN to KY at Louisville. We got nailed by that last year. SIL had the notice in his truck for two weeks and kept forgetting to give to us. So we paid $14 for that bridge. Which should have only been $0.10 if we had had known about it.

So, now you are warned
