Headlight assembly

Hey Guys,

I have a 2005 Newmar Kountry Star. The headlight assemblies are in terrible shape so I went ahead and ordered new ones. I looked at the assembly and inside the front generator compartment but still can't figure out how to swap them out. I figure it's probably easy once you've done it but I need some help here.

I'm a retired firefighter so pictures are appreciated LOL

I assume that there is an aluminum bracket that the headlight housing screws into. And the bracket screws into the fiberglass "cap" (nose). So, you will have to bring the RV up on blocks or properly rated jack stands so you can shimmy under the nose and look how it's all mounted. Just remove the electrical connections, unscrew the self tapper screws and remove the housing / bracket.

Pictures would be helpful. I just swapped the headlight assemblies on my 2018 Ventana. In my case there was a mounting bracket molded into the fiberglass on the front cap. There were four bolts with lock washers that secured the assembly to the bracket. There was also a decorative trim piece that needed to be removed. I was able to remove my headlights with the decorative trim in place, but I had to install the headlights without the trim and then place the trim as my final step.

2005 Kountry Star

Hey guys,
I managed to get the right assembly out after working on it for an hour. The engineers who designed this cluster f**k be flogged. Much more complicated than it needed to be.
I took a few videos but don’t know how to upload them.
