Heads-up: DIY Roadmaster aux sway bar
I (& a buddy) just finished installing a Roadmaster aux rear sway bar my 20,500 lb coach. The description in the ad states ‘only hand tools needed’. Those ‘hand tools’ need to be an impact wrench with 1000 ft-lbs torque and a 3/4” breaker bar with about 2 ft of 3/4” socket extensions and a 5’ lever! 2 chassis bolts must removed on each side for installation & I was only able to remove 1 on each side with the monster impact wrench. The other 2 necessitated the use of the 3/4” breaker bar after my 1/2” one twisted too much to break the bolt loose.
……lots of satisfaction when finished but what an OMG DIY.
BTW, the sway bar made a great handling improvement.
