Used my heat pump a couple of days ago for the first time. It works great! But seems to be a buzzing noise from the air conditioner. Is that normal? Doesn't bother me too much, but wife isn't too thrilled about it.

That's normal as your heat pumps are a part of your Air Conditioner units and basically they are just working in reverse of how the AC's operate. In ours they make about the same amount of noise as do the AC's.

Is the buzzing all the time or only sometimes? Have not used ours since March, but as I remember, it sounded the same as when running on cooling, except when it when through its defrost cycle, then it made a slightly different set of noises. The HP at my house goes through s similar process and if I'm near it when it does, can be quite noisy.
