Heated floors 2015 Dutch Star

The heated floors on our coach no longer function. Most of the control modules light but within a few minutes the lights all go off. All 3 of the control units respond in the same fashion. There are no instructions on their operation hence no method of determining the cause of this failure. Anyone had a similar occurrence?

We had the same issue when we picked up our 2015 Dutch Star in June 15. The problem was fixed by a software upgrade to the KIB electronics switching system. How long had your heated floors been working before you had the problem? Ours never worked correctly having the same symptoms as yours since day one.

The units worked when we bought the unit last summer but never really fully analyzed the units effectiveness until this year when the weather turned cold. Did you contact the supplier directly or did you work with Newmar Customer Support?

We were at the factory at the time and Newmar had the required device to upload the new software. I asked the if any Newmar dealer could do it and he said yes. I think if you called Newmar CS they could tell you if your coach got the fix. I suspect not.

Same thing with ours. The rear floor heat would kick off after a few minutes. I had the instruction sheet for the process, but seem to have deleted it, sorry. It's a simple fix that only takes a few minutes to perform, but must be done with a "dongle" from Newmar to program the module. North Trail did ours and it works flawlessly now.

Slabman, if you go to Newmars site comnet and enter your coach number and then look under service bullitens most coachs that are effected under that TSB will be listed. They list all models that need repaired.

For the life of me, I've never had any luck with their Comnet site. All I see is a way to order parts and some info from the Millers, leading to marketing their products. What am I missing here?

Mine is a 2016 and it had the same issue. Went to North Trail and told them about the TSB. The service writer said, "I'll check and see if yours is on the list". I said, "I really don't care if it's on the list or not, I want it fixed". The Newmar rep on site told them to do the reprogram and it fixed the problem.

Thanks, I finally got it working. Who woulda thunk you should NOT log in to get info on your own coach?

I did remove the Silverleaf control module and send it in. They're repairing the board and hopefully this will fix my issue with the heat cutting out intermittently.
