Heater Fan Speed

We have a VTDP 3709 2016 and we're still learning a lot about new features. It has a Dometic thermostat and an Oasis hydronic heat system. The Dometic thermostat manual refers to a fan switch that toggles through three speeds and an auto setting. Yet in the Oasis manual they make no mention of multiple fan speeds. I've only been able to get a single speed in operation.

Does the Ventana heating system have more than one heater fan speed?

The fan speeds only refer to the AC/heat pumps. The Oasis registers only have one speed.

The only exception to this can be the register in the dash, some models have a high/low switch on them.

For your 37 foot floor plan:

1. The Dometic thermostat controls the Two roof top Penguin™ Heat Pump Air Conditioner's fan speeds . The Dometic thermostat does turn the Oasis on or off.

2.The Optional, not standard, Hydronic Zone Diesel Heat with Continuous Hot Water fan speed is not controlled by the Dometic thermostat. Each fan/hot coil unit either has a fixed speed or switchable speed, controlled by a manual switch.

Good Luck with your new Ventana!

Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply. Your answers are consistent with my weak recollection of the massive amount of information provided during our new owner orientation provided by the dealer. My weak memory was challenged by conflicting information in the Dometic manual suggesting multiple fan speeds which would be nice. Apparently that just applies to the heat pumps.

Anyway - thanks much!

Just make sure you leave the fans set to auto on the Dometic controller when you select furnace.
