Help - 2004 Kountry Star Roof Leak Damage

I have a problem. In spite of what I thought was great care of the roof and membrane (taping, etc), have just discovered a serious soft spot maybe 2' X 3' under the crank up TV antenna over the passenger side forward seating area. It clearly needs immediate attention. My problem is that I just moved into the Raleigh area from Orlando (where I knew all of the resources for such).

My question is whether anyone has had experience with a good, HONEST shop in the Raleigh area that they can recommend. I am also all ears for any other advice.

Thanks,
Jim Baird

I'd highly recommend Frank's RV Repair. He used to run Capital City RV repair and did a great job replacing the roof on our old Class C. He has relatively good ratings on RV Service reviews compared with the other places in the area.

The nearest Newmar service place I'd recommend is Howard RV Center. They no longer sell Newmar but are authorized service for them. Not sure I'd take the coach all the way to them unless you happen to be near the coast sometime (one or our favorite camping spots is Cedar Point campground).

Bill Plemmons also has good reviews, but I went to them when they were College Park for an estimate on the same coach and did not leave with a good feeling, and ended up choosing Capital City. The Camping World in Garner was formerly Hawley's Camping, as with all Camping Worlds their service seems spotty. A relatively new place that has good reviews is Barnes Collision Center in Zebulon, they may be worth talking to, through I have no personal experience with them.

Whomever you choose, please post your experience on RV Service reviews, it is one way to spread the word of your experience, good or bad.
