Help.. at a campsite and my toilet won't flush

Owner of 2014 Newmar Dutch Star and my Dometic toilet (model# sts8759) will not flush! We just got all hooked up at a campground and noticed a red light indicator lit beside the toilet. I read somewhere that means the black tank is full (our sensor board said it was only 1/3, but we dumped anyway)... but the red light is STILL on. Now what?! I NEED to be able to flush. Help! Please...

Thanks!

Stephanie

Try shutting off the 12 volt at the switch in front to reboot. Have you flushed and drained the black tank?

Open the black tank valve and flush the tank for 10 to 15 minutes. May be something on the sensor.

When you say rebooting the 12 volt is that disconnecting the battery and reconnecting button? Sorry.. a little confused.

Do you have a switch by the door some call it “salesman switch” that will shut the 12 volt power off

No switch by the door, but we do have a battery disconnect in a cabinet in a top cabinet above passenger seat. Is that what you're referring to?

After 20 minute tank flush.. no go :(

So.. we flushed tank for 20 minutes.. nothing. Red light still lit.

Going to try battery disconnect and reset and see if that will get it.. so sad. first trip, all was working well at home. no restrooms where we are

We got it to work!

Thank you everyone for your time and feedback. We flushed the black tank, that still didn't work. Husband reset the batteries, and that got it! You guys are awesome. Now I'll have an adult beverage (or two) and continue with my weekend as planned.

Happy Easter!
