Can't seem to figure out why both right and left images on my dash screen are very foggy but my rear camera image is clear. BTW, I cleaned the lenses. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

We had a 2009 Baystar that the side Cameras fogged up the longer we drove it during the day. I attributed it to running the air conditioning. When we would leave they would be clear and on a humid day they would fog up as we drove on. I never solved the issue, we traded the RV.

Sounds like moisture is getting in to the camera and condensing on the inside of the glass. I had that problem with the rear camera on a previous motorhome.

Cheap cameras no doubt!

Replace cameras with high quality IP rating of 66 or greater which is a measurement of how waterproof they are.

Lloyd - funny you should mention this...last month coming back from Tampa, FL I had a similar issue with the driver's side camera. I cleared up on it's own and never did it again, so I wasn't able to trouble shoot. I'll be watching your post to see what others have to say. Welcome back to CONUS.

Are you in a humid area such as FL? Our weather right now, warm and humid during the day and getting quiet cool at night does cause things to fog up that normally do not. Does it clear up after being parked in the sun?

It has been cool enough in the morning that my double pain windows in my S&B have been fogged in the early morning the past few days. I think harleycheif may have experienced the same thing in Tampa.

The coach was in wet Portland, OR and now we just arrived in very dry Las Vegas staging for the PHX Good Sams. Hoping it will go away on its own.

Update. The LV desert air removed the apparent moisture in the side cameras thus the fog is gone!

Pleased to hear that the cameras fixed themselves.

I originally did not have any cameras looking back down each side of my coach. They didn't offer them back in 2001.

My OEM mirrors were Velvac with two mirror panes in each one. I removed the Velvac mirrors, arms and bases and sold them to a friend.

I purchased two Ramco mirrors on eBay back in 2012 which had three mirror panes all remote controlled, all heated with LED directional's and the lower mirror contains what Ramco calls an In-Vue camera.

The advantage of having the camera in the mirror is that you can aim it for various views when needed and also it can be heated if by chance it gets a little frosty one morning.
