Help for drain stopper

My DW closed the drain stopper in one of the sinks in the bathroom... and we canít get it open again. Itís the type you push down to close, and push further to let it pop back up. Only it wonít. Am I missing something? Any advice?

Just keep pushing on it, eventually it should pop up, try putting a little water in the bowl, so if it allows a little down it may free up it's stuck part with the water as a lube. We like it, hope we don't have issues.

Rotate it CCW while pushing down. It's adjustable using this method

Iíve tried pushing every which way, turning, and holding my tongue just right. Nothing seems to work. Newmar gave me number of the supplier so I can track down info, or Newmar will send me a new part. So Friday I will take this one out and see if I can fix it. If not, I will just get a new one. Bummer. Plumbing is my least favorite type of repair!

After reading other posts of pushing down and turning to hold in place could be, if used coach, previous owner just pushed down and not turn causing threads to brake down as threads.
If its possible with channel lock pliers, wide mouth, to grab stopper and turn to re-thread the threads to work.

Perhaps you're pushing too hard? Try at different pressures.

Mine used to do that. Reach down and grab the stopper with your fingers and pull towards you. I put some lubricant on mine and now it works well. Not a great system for sure.

Plummers change my tub drain and they installed one of those things. Don't really like it but it works. First time it stuck and wouldn't release. Finally repeated pressing on outside edges and releasing quickly popped it loose. So far so good.

My defense is when I was at factory a few years ago, the tech did as I described to open our drain. Sorry it didn't work for you.

Bruce.....remove the drain pipe, under the sink, and push up with a rod or screwdriver.

While the 2018 models may be different, I can completely unscrew the drain cap on ours. Great for cleaning the drain when necessary
