Help install AGS - network version

I thought it would be plug and go, nope there a serval choices to wire it.

We apparently have a momentary switch on the dash, the next question is if the genny has a preheater, I don't have a clue.

I assume pre-heat.

Ok the wires it's a 3 wire diagram
So I plug in the temp sensor and network wire to inverter.

the diagram shows a bus bar inside genny, where might that be located.

I thought this is wired under the dash to the momentary switch then on the ags there are 8 terminals
1 & 2 to hour meter (what's the purpose of that?)
3&4 to battery, I assume any hot leads
5,6 & 7 to momentary dash switch I think
8 to preheat no idea where that goes.

Appreciate any help, is it possible some of the wires are already under the dash or someplace else pre-wired

This is how my module is wired...dip pin settings...cnx to PT2 and dometic themostat module...

I hope it compares to one of the many diagrams.

Mine gets the wiring thru the aft bulkhead of the bay right fwd of the pegboard bay...so the wiring is amongst the mess of wires near/on the holding tanks behind the pegboard if the put it there.

Looks like only terminal 2-7 have wires.

Charlie so pulled all the wires from the harness behind the pegboard, no need to go up to dash or Genny?

I would investigate... Mine came factory installed...so I cannot say for sure if they've connected everything.

If the power checks with a voltmeter...chances are the bundle is wired and ready to be hooked up.

Then the network cord goes from the AGS to the network port on the inverter...which will be shared by the BMK...

The remote port on the inverter has the wire from your ME-ARC...and that port also gets shared if you have the Precision Circuits Power Control System Central Monitor Panel w/ a later revision. Then you already found the BTS port for battery temperature.

It will be awesome if that prewire bundle you found is already hooked up.

Let us know what you find. If you hook the wires up to the terminals...and hit the test button you'll know directly if it's working or not.

When I put the cover back on mine today...I accidentally hit the test button. My wife said the dogs jumped up and were wondering what was going on. Suddenly the generator started...

That's what they say for Cummins Onan Quiet Diesels...except my jumper is set for 12v instead of 24v in that document.


If Newmar already hooked up your harness..,,then never mind this...if not, I wonder if it would work for your gen set...

Well disappointed to say Newmar was zero help, they declined to send wiring diagrams or offer any help, other than to say it's not prewired

So anyone have an idea how to best track down the wires I need?

I checked as suggested behind the pegboard wall as above, did see anything.

Ok talked to Magnum, they said to use diagram 2-14, 3-wire mode

He also said instead of wiring to the gen hour meter diagram 2-10 gen run sense option 2

the AGS needs to sense that electric is being generated, so you just plug in a 120-12V little transformer, much easier than wiring any other way.

So I think I'll get this done over the week end.
