Help to Identify What This is for?

2020 Dutch Star 3736, Freightliner Chassis. What is the item shown in the pictures for, it is in the Gen area, below the oasis filter, above the windshield washer reservoir. Has a Schrader valve (bicycle tube air fitting) with a orange quick throw valve, it appears have an air system type hose connected to it, cannot for the life of me figure out what you be applying air to on the coach through a tire air connection other than the tires. Been through the Freightliner Operators manual several times, either it is not mentioned or I missed it. But my opinion of the Operators Manual is not the best, they do not get a very high mark for documentation IMO. I know it is not the tow truck air connection. Thanks for your inputs they will be greatly appreciated.

It is the air connection that can be used by tow trucks. Looks just like mine and Freightliner pointed out the use to me

Can also be used to supply air for airing your tires or run air tools.

Pretty odd to have a Shrader valve on it. Completely useless that way.

On the Spartan, it’s a standRd female air fitting, just like on a compressor. IF...air should ever be needed to fill the coach (eg towing), then an adapter can be used.

My freightliner chassis has a female air connection with a valve on it. I Have no clue what would have the shrader valve on it. It can't be a brake because it only allows flow one way.

Since the primary use of that line is to pressurize the air brakes and release them so the coach can be moved, I'm guessing that the Shrader valve was installed to make it easy for the service truck/tow truck guys. There are several different types of air quick couplers, but any service vehicle with an air compressor is set up to air up tires and the Shrader valve would be a convenient connection.

The Shrader valve could be replaced with a female quick coupler to allow a wider use. If that is done, it would be wise to put the Shrader valve on a male quick-connect so that the air line could easily be restored to its original purpose.

It is not the Tow Truck Air Line connection so the brakes can be released and the coach aired up when it is broke down, or the air fitting for tools, or for adding air to your tires. That connection is about 12" above this one and has an SAE air hose connector on it, you can see the tow truck air connection as I call it next to the oasis filter in the second picture.

I am afraid to hook something up to it to see what happens not knowing what it is supposed to do.

Could it be a bleeder valve to get air out of whatever that spin on filter is for?
Just throwing it out there...

Out of curiosity I would test it with a pressure gauge to see if it's pressurized or not.

How about calling Freightliner and ask them? Safest bet.
