Hercules truck tires

We are replacing all 6 rear tires on our Dutchstar and got a very good quote. The tires are Hercules manufactured by Cooper Tire. Looking for any input before we purchase.

I never heard of them before this posting. But a quick google search leaves me thinking they are ok. The Hercules Strong Guard HTL has a 7 year replacement warranty and the carcass can be retread 3 times. To me, that sounds like it would last one life cycle on a motorhome.

Never heard of Hercules before (I have used Coopers on my passenger vehicles). Below quote is from Cooper's website. Apparently Hercules was another brand consumed by Cooper 60+ years ago (as the quote below is from 2010.) Of course, Cooper is now owned by Goodyear. From what I've read, Goodyear and Cooper are the only AMERICAN OWNED tire companies still producing tires in the US (but also elsewhere). Not a "fly by night" operation.

Fifty years and millions of tires later, Cooper Tire still manufactures Hercules Tires and both companies remain headquartered in Findlay, Ohio.

About Hercules Tire & Rubber Company
The Hercules Tire & Rubber Company headquartered in Findlay, Ohio, is a leading tire marketer of replacement tires in the USA, Canada and globally in more than 90 countries. Hercules offers an extensive selection in passenger, UHP, light truck, medium truck, trailer, off-the-road, industrial and specialty tires manufactured by its worldwide supplier network. Hercules has developed a strong reputation among its customers for its broad range of quality products, making the Hercules brand and its associate brands some of the most sought-after proprietary brands in the industry. In addition, Hercules distributes over 20 leading national branded tire programs, and collectively offers over 10,000 skus. Hercules operates regional wholesale warehouses in California, Texas, Illinois, Ohio, Florida, Oregon, Ontario, and New Brunswick, under the name TDW (Tire Dealer’s Warehouse) or Hercules Tire Canada. Hercules operates on an international basis from warehouses in the USA, Canada and China under the name Hercules Tire International.

I have a pair of Hercules tire in the steer axle as they were all I could get while on the road, it is a long story. Bottom line I was a little concerned at the time but have run them for 4 years now and very happy with them.

I had 6 Hercules Strong Guard HTL 19.5 tires installed on my Motorhome 3 years ago at the recommendation of my Tire dealer who runs them on his own Motorhome. I can recommend them without hesitation. They ride GREAT and hold air pressure without any loss.
It was amazing the difference in ride and handling over the BF Goodrich tires before. 3 years and 7K miles no problems and showing no wear. Balanced with balance beads, no vibration at any speed.

I used Cooper tires on my cars and trucks for many years. When I was looking for Motorhome tires, I automatically looked for Coopers but discovered that the tires I needed were under the name Hercules and made it China. I was upset because I knew that they had been made at the Tupelo MS plant in the past. Every tire has the plant code as part of its DOT number. I went with Michelin.

I did a lot of research last year when buying a new set for my DS. Hercules is a high quality tire, reliable and long term successful, and made by Cooper in USA. I came just that close to buying them, but I was buying from a small indie shop in rural Texas, and ease of availability won out. I bought Sumitomo 719.
Iím sure youíll be pleased with the Hercs.

My coach had them when I purchased. Seemed okay. Replaced because of age with Hancook which are more quiet.
