Hershey RV show
Any Newmar owners planning on attending the 2015 Hershey show in a couple of weeks?
We will be dry camping there if we can figure out where the new dry camping is.

The dry camping is across the street from the stadium. It's easy to find.
We'll be there on Wed.

Is there more aggressive discounts off msrp by buying at the show versus just contacting multiple dealers?

We want to go but cannot find any place to stay nearby. If we were to go just for the day, any ideas where to park the rig ? We have been to Hershey but never for the show

Draw a circle about 60 miles around the Show. There are places out there. Check the AllStays app

Higher quality rigs demand more $.
Run-of-the-mill is only cheaper to folks that do NADA research before they show up.

Not sure if you understood what I was asking. If I am looking to buy 2016 MADP would I get a better discount off msrp due to a show special pricing versus getting 28% from negotiating with a newmar dealer?

The honest answer is likely not. You could likely do better negotiating with several dealers over the phone. While there are "show specials" they are rarely if ever the lowest price the dealer will take. The exception being if the manufacturer is willing to throw in a cash incentive to move units.

Thanks that helps. Just was holding out hope that a given newmar dealer at a big show would be willing to get extra aggressive to sell a large number of units

We attended both Hershey and Tampa before we bought. Great to see so many coaches in one place. We did buy during the Tampa show and have no regrets. However, if you want the lowest price it seems that past posts have suggested that you get a price/option/build sheet from Newmar, complete it then send it to several dealers who are known to be more aggressive with their deals. Of course you may end up buying through a dealership that is on the other end of the country. If you decide on factory delivery it probably makes no difference. Can't really say with certainty. Some have said you will suffer this way when you try to get follow up warranty service from another dealership that may be closer to you. But our experience has been a good experience with both the dealership we bought from as well as the one that is 2 hrs closer to our home. No problem. Newmar is a class company and it seems that the dealerships committed to selling their products are, for the most part, pretty classy as well. You should be able to get service at any of them. After all they're all in business to build their business/reputation and make a buck. Good luck.

Thanks Mike, I read your blog yesterday. Really well written with alot detail so I found it very informative, thank you for spending the time to do it. Looks like after reading your blog and the responses here the only real benefit of a show like Hershey is getting a chance to walk through the different models and speak to a newmar rep.

You are correct. Hershey offers you the opportunity to see everything across multiple brands. No having to go to multiple dealers and be "hawked" by a salesman. It helps you decide what you want. Is not the best place to make a deal.

Mike, who was the dealer in your blog that gave you the best price on your new coach?
