Hey Newmar, Windows are failing. Are you listening?

First let me say I still love my 2019 Dutch Star. It's just frustrating. And really a few windows is not a big deal compared to problems others have.
I went to pick up my coach from Independence RV after getting my Fantastic fan motors replaced (been fighting them since last June).

It took a real long time for them to bring my coach up.Tech showed up and said when he pulled it out and stopped in the back lot he got a bath. It was from the window above the drivers power window. You can clearly tell it's fogged over. The adhesive has failed.

So they covered it and taped it up. My coach has had one window or another taped up since last June after we left Nappanee. I was excited to have the coach all ready to head out without anything broken. Nope.

First window was the emergency egress door window. It fell out at 65mph. luckily it did not hit anyone.
Had it replaced out west and it failed again.
Kitchen window separated and had to tape it up and wait for a replacement.

The problem is Lippert, the adhesive DOES NOT WORK. Tech told me they have a huge problem with windows. Newmar needs to hold their feet to the fire and fix this. I am worried about how many more windows are going to fail on me? My warranty runs out this week so I'm screwed.

Interesting note, Newmar had that window in stock, several of them. Hmm?

Okay, rant over.

Have you notified Newmar of your continuing problem with your windows some were fix but still continues, they would most likely still fix as warranty item.

Newmar knows, it is an ongoing and pervasive problem. Mine has had two escape door windows and waiting on another one in under 3000 miles.

This post will explode with foggy window issues. We have three bad windows on our ‘18 DS, and noticed a possible fourth after cleaning the coach this weekend. We’re out of warranty, you see. Contact with Lippert has resulted in an email advising that a “case” has been opened, but no further response. Messages left with Newmar CS have not been answered. This is not a trivial issue, and I’m so sad to see it arise. Not only will this apparently cost many of us thousands of dollars to remedy, but will seriously erode Newmars and Lipperts reputations.

Yes, I spoke to Newmar yesterday. I don't know how well they track trends etc. When I worked at Cisco Systems we tracked defects of any kind and reacted accordingly. I really blame Lippert, this is on them. I just wonder what years are the worst, and have they fixed the adhesive.

Would you please report this obvious safety defect to NHTSA? Maybe if NHTSA receives enough reports of Newmar products launching projectiles while traveling 65mph on the highway they will issue a recall!!!

No worries with Lippert they already have a reputation....a poor one. I've had great luck with my windows (knock wood). I had to replace one small vent window over the drivers side sofa due to a truck passing & threw up a rock. Only complaint was replacement was $300 for a very small window. Maybe Newmar could take it a little easier on their customers on replacement windows?

Lippert bought out Hehr in early 2018. Not sure how Hehr windows compare to Lippert, or if there was a change made in adhesives? Anyone know? Did this pervasive problem just show up in later models?

I have a 2019 Canyon Star. I've had no window issues at all. Does the Canyon Star use a different window supplier than the Newmar DP line?

Can anybody give me any specific clues as to what the failures look like so I can keep an eye out for signs of trouble?

I have replaced two vent windows on my LADP. It is the frame-less double pane window. The sealant holding the two panes together fails and the outer window flaps in the breeze, ultimately departing the coach.
