Hilton Head RV Resort & Marina, Opinions
We are planning on staying at the Hilton Head RV Resort & Marina at the end of September. (not the motor coach park) A little expensive, but the park looks great and I was wondering if anyone had stayed there and what is their opinion of the facility. Even though it looks great on the internet, you never know until you get there. Any information would be highly appreciated.

Great campground, marina, restaurant, two pools, etc. We own a site and keep our motor home there year around. [Mod Edit]

We drove through it when visiting HH. Very clean park, rates ok, I was hoping for more space between sites, but not bad. We could not find anything other than golf in HH, so wont go back, traffic was bad. But don't worry about the toll road, cheap, and cuts down on your travel time and traffic, we don't like toll roads, but in that case wish we had used it.

Hilton Head RV Resort & Marina, Opinions
We stayed at Hilton head Island motorcoach resort last week it seem like a nice park. The roads are a little tight but the sites are really nice.
Hilton head Island will be a place that I marked off my bucket list not sure I really want to go back.

We’ve stayed at both HH Motorcoach Resort and HH Harbor RV Resort & Marina. They’re both very nice and either would have our recommendation. We were at HH Harbor for 10 days last November, enjoyed our stay, and after our Sept.-Oct. Michigan, UP, and western NY trip we plan on some late November days back at HH Harbor. We really like Savannah, Hilton Head, and “low country” South Carolina.

We have stayed at both the HH Motorcoach Resort on Arrow Road on HH Island itself and the HH Harbor RV Resort and Marina as well. We prefer the HH Motorcoach Resort on Arrow Road. It is much more convenient to the beach and bike trails and the park itself isn’t as tight. The biggest reason is one we never thought of until we stayed at the marina. Getting out of the road to go to Bluffton or HH Island can be very frustrating due to the volume of high speed traffic zipping by that you either need to cross or merge into.
They are both very nice though.

I stayed at HH Motorcoach resort, it's a tight CG site ownership place. Nothing special to me but if you're a golfer it's a big golf area and more about the surrounding area than the CG. I arrived there after the FMCA rally in Perry, GA a year or so ago and got pummeled with hail the first day there from a bad t-storm, toad damaged significantly, coach faired well with just a skylight taking a hit and needing replacing which I did. Solar panels survived.
I have no desire to go back unless it's just a convenience location. I did my fill of site owned CG's, they are okay from time to time but I prefer more of a "camping" experience such as SP's etc over these. To each their own. Mix it up...

HHMCR as mentioned is much closer to beaches, bike paths, restaurants, and much more mature trees and natural growth between sites.
HHMCMarina at the entrance of the island, so you have to get in your car to get anywhere along with tough to get onto Rt278 either direction.
I have been going to HH for years and yes i do play golf, but I don’t find “lots of traffic” like you get as you travel further South.

if you can get one of the sites on the water, it's pretty cool....
stayed there in 2017 with my phaeton, and would go back.....
but as has been said, HHMCR is closer to the beaches and the bike path....

We just got back yesterday from a week there. We love it, the sunset from the marina every night is amazing. The sites are for the most very good, some owners put more into theirs than others do. The traffic getting back out onto the main road can be bad at times but we live near a resort town so it's not that big a deal. Try getting around Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg during a car show or at peak tourist season! Honestly the traffic further in town where the motor coach resort is seems much worse because it's so close to Sea Pines. It's a resort town/island so it's not for everyone. We also stay there because our friends have a TT so they aren't allowed at the other resort.

We stayed there last year for 6 months Mar-Sep and enjoyed it very much, price has gone up since then. Location was good as I was working in Savannah and the park is just as you get on the Island so didn’t have to much island traffic except in late afternoon when everyone is going home. Recommend Dockside for dinner, 2.5 miles from park on intercostal. Restaurant at park is very good but a little pricey.

After RVing our country & Canada for over 35 years we bought a Lot at HHMCP.
We had stayed there on and off for 11 years and didn't find a friendlier, nicer located and more beautiful park anywhere.
This is not the marina park on HH .
It is on the Bike Path, walk or bike to the beach, walk to the market or travel the Island.
We still like to travel the country but when we stay in any one place for several weeks or months there is nothing like the paradise of HHMCP. IMO
