Hood Release

We have recently purchased 2016 Newmar Ventana. We need to locate the hood release and we're unable to find it under the dash. Any info would be appreciated

Should be located in left front basement compartment near the upper right hand corner.

Kevin, who is a great asset, was quick to answer with the correct location. I'm going to be a little more specific and say the bay door directly under the driver's window. This bay is also commonly called the "run" bay as it has a lot of your coach and engine electronics that make the coach run.

In the upper right-hand corner of the bay, is a black "T" handle. Give it a pull and the hood should open. If it hasn't been open in a while, it may not release so you can open it. Have a second person pull on the handle and while you push IN on the hood to get it to release and then pull it open.

If it works as designed on the first try, take the time to lube the cable and the lock mechanism since the coach is new to you.

Thanks so much! In hindsight that location makes sense.
