HORRIBLE Pocket Doors on 2019 Mountain Aire

Horrible Pocket Doors. 2019 Mountain Aire. 2 pocket doors. VERY hard to operate the latch. Sharp edge inside the finger hole. Takes too much pressure to depress the latch. Any thoughts?

They are not easy but then again, if they were easy they would be slapping open and closed on the road.

Yeah, it takes some effort to push the latch down. I am more concerned with the plastic pin at the top holding up and not snapping off. I don't know how to make the latch smoother to operate. In my case we don't hardly ever close the door so I haven't looked into doing anything with it yet. I was thinking about looking onto a latch like the shower door has to hold it open going down the road.

Try lubbing it. Tab of grease on any moving parts.

Maybe a small dowel that fits pretty snuggly in the slot, tied with a string to a removeable anchor (like command strips). It would be easier on the fingers.

On mine, I pushed on the handle, like you're unlatching it and at the same time, spray silicone lube or WD40 in all three openings. You can also use WD40 with a tube (straw) attached and spray the post at the top, allowing it to run down the post. That was enough to loosen up mine.

I've never removed it, but you can probably remove the chrome cover and spray lube the assembly. While it's off, file/sand the sharp edge.
