House Battery?

Over the door is a switch for the battery that one way says STORE and the other way says USE. After the tranny let go and sprayed fluid everwhere now when I push the button to use the battery the lights come on and go out as soon as I let go of the button. Anybody ever have the same problem? The MH is still in the shop.

Thanks
Rich

Hi jettyjock,
Year, make and model would help with quality replies. Consider adding the information to your signature. It saves having to enter it more than once. The fluid may have soaked into connectors in the engine compartment. Have the tech contact Newmar for assistance. The number is 800-731-8300. Ask for technical support.

It sounds like the latching relay is closing with the switch but not latching in the closed position. It could have failed for a number of reasons, including an oil bath. Try switching it a few time quickly to see if you can get it to loosen up. The latching mechanism is mechanical not electrical.

Mine will act like that if the voltage is low.
