How many Coaches are built?

Can someone tell me how many Coach's does Newmar build per week, month, year?
Who leads the pack with the most built per year?

Last I read, Newmar had gotten back up to 11-12 coaches per day.

Since you didn't specify any type, I think THOR claims to build more "motorhomes" than any other manufacturer, but that would include ALL their motorized RVs, regardless of type.

As long as the materials going into these pictures are not compromised in the expansion the quality should not suffer.

When we were there on June 10, 2014 they were putting out about 7 per day.

Newmars' current run rate as of August 2014 is 8 coaches a day = 40 coaches a week. The last figures I saw from RIOA for 2013 showed Winnabago as the largest motorized RV manufacture - that would include all their brands in Class A , B & C.

I concur that it is 8 a day. That was from the production manager who was at the FMCA rally in Redmond 3 weeks ago. One interesting point he made on how many they can build is the complexity. He said just before the big crash a King air was about as complex as a Vantana is now. All of the complexity adds time to build. Randy

Absolutely, considering that in October 2012 when we where watching our 2012 being built, Newmar stated they where building three per day.

I believe that was during the really slow time for most all coach builders, who scaled back the workforce in an attempt to match production with demand.
Demand has gotten much better these days, hence the increased production rates as they try to satisfy the demand and thereby sell more coaches. Extremely long lead times will usually cause some lost unit sales because not everybody is willing to wait.......even for Newmar quality.

I also agree with the comment about complexity slowing their ability to produce more. Back when even the top of the line coaches were relatively simple compared to today's models, my "simple" 2003 Kountry Star was among the 17 units per day coming off the single production line. THAT was amazing to see, which I did for the entire two days it took them to assemble mine.
