I’ll be winterizing my new coach soon. I searched and I couldn’t find this information. My coach is a Dutch Star 3717 with a dishwasher, clothes washer, one bathroom and a kitchen sink. Oasis, outdoor shower, front hot water outlet in generator compartment so pretty much all the water pipes possible.

I don’t want to make multiple trips to the store, nor do I want 3 - 4 extra gallons. Anyone know how much anti-freeze should I buy?

IN this link you will find winterizing info as far as how much it depends on how good you are in closing valves you opened to drain existing fluids and not pumping it all into a tank or shower tub.
I always got 5 gallons if some left over you will be using it for evaporation in traps or toilet seal leaks as winter moves on.

You have to flush both hot and cold lines. The washing machine is difficult and I always use too much. I get 6 gallons and use around 5. The stuff is cheap compared to repairs.

Why winterize and go thru all that trouble? If you have Oasis, turn it on when there is any threat of freeze? I did this last winter and it was down into the single digits for a while. Think about it, if you were traveling in the cold you would do the same and it will not freeze.

Where I live there’s a possibility of below freezing temperatures from now until May and it’s a sure thing from November through March.

If your refrigerator has an ice maker, don't forget that.

I totally agree, this is exactly what I do if we're going to have a "freeze", the Oasis takes care of the coach and the basement with very little fuel usage. This way the coach is always ready to jump in and go!! This is some of the best traveling weather of the year, love the fall!!

What is a good temp to set the Oasis at? We are going to get a cold snap for about a week of highs in the 30s and lows around 6f.

Just finished my Dutch Star 4362 with dishwasher and washing machine, ice maker and water in the fridge door. Bath and a half and outside shower. I used 9 gallons which is pretty close to the eight gallons the dealer told me I would use.

Thanks for the response. I'll probably buy 10 gallons and hope to use much less. Worst case, the extra will sit on a shelf in the garage for a year.

If I was retired and if Covid hasn't prevented me from getting my Class B license, I'd bail out and head south for the winter but work and responsibilities are keeping me here through April so she's going to get winterized Saturday. It's supposed to get into the low 20's in a week.
