How to Remove Wall Light Fixtures

We are trying to replace the wall sconces in our 2004 Dutch Star. It seems simple enough until after removing the screws, they did not come off the wall as if they are glued down. Has anyone removed these sconces successfully? If so, how? Thank you.

I replaced the sconces on either end of the couch , in the slide on my DS , and don't remember an issue other than the base had imprinted the wall to the point that the replacements had to have a larger base to cover the mark on the wall .

On my 2002 DSDP they just came off after removing the two screws on each side. They're most likely just stuck to the wall. Try a plastic knife and pry underneath them to see if they free up.

I replaced the ones in my 2005 MADP.

They may have stuck themselves to the wall over the years or someone siliconed then for some reason in the past.

I would use a plastic razor blade held flat against the wall and go around the base and see what happens.

Don't brute force them - you can tear the covering off the wall.
