HWH Leveling Control Panel Cracked

My HWH leveling keypad is cracked on the Auto Level button. See Photos

Newmar wants $438 for a replacement.

Has anyone replaced their keypad and did you find a more reasonable price?

As anyone repaired their keypad? It seems a small square of heavy clear plastic would work if I could find something like that.

I sent our HWH control panel into HWH and they replaced the plastic keypad cover. It was a lot less!
I had to get a pre-authorization from them. They are extremely busy.

A one time the buttons behind the plastic cover started coming through the plastic, and HWH replaced the plastic cover, but it didnt last long, so I replaced the whole keypad. If I remember correctly it was no where near $700, closer to $70.

Yes, it still works. You can feel the pointed button under the cracked panel.

HWH sold me a new cover for the panel. Two years later, it still looks new. I recall the cost at under $20. Call them and give them your model, and maybe a picture of the panel you posted above.

FWIW, I also had problems with some of the switches and indicators, unrelated to the cracked cover, but I own a soldering iron and the switches are standard parts...you can find a couple of posts about repairing the control board if you search.

John,

Thanks. I will call HWH and inquire about a new cover.

If you have time, take it to HWH.
It’s not far from Iowa 80 truck stop on I 80.
It’s right at an exit. Can’t remember the exit number but it’s west of Iowa 80 truck stop. It might be 2 or 3 exits west ( Moscow, IA )
$438 is a lot of diesel. Do a trip to Davenport and visit John Deere and get the fix on they way there.

I would put some clear nail polish over the crack and then do your search/wait for the new cover to arrive.
