HWH Leveling Jacks Weird Interim Issue

This one is a bit weird.

We use fitness flooring mats under our jacks. Stack three high and it becomes about an inch thick. Our old ones were deteriorated. Bought new ones. While waiting them to arrive, we were on air leveling for about a week.

New mats arrived. They are lighter than the older ones thus less dense; more squishy.

Last night I extended the jacks using Auto Level. The 4th jack to deploy was the right rear. It would not extend at all. The left rear jack was really compressing the new three-deep mats. I stopped the process as the pump had been running per the recommended time to avoid burning out the pump. I tried a second time and same outcome. So I went back to air leveling.

This morning I checked the fluid level by opening the bleeder cap and observing the dipstick. The level was good. All the hose connections seem OK, but doubt I would know if they didn't.

I removed the upper two mats so that was just one mat per jack. Extended the jacks and the system worked as it should.

Did I do something that made it work or just exorcize a gremlin?

With no obvious puddles of hydraulic fluid anywhere on the ground, I believe the solenoid valve for that one leveler wasn’t opening up when you were trying to level. Stuck closed, maybe?! Perhaps you wiggled a loose wire connection when you were checking on things. Something to keep an eye on.

The IO module controls which jack extends and when it extends. I think that because of the three pads and not on a solid foundation the IO module was still trying to level in order of need. I have had a similar situation when trying to auto level and my wife or my doggie was moving around in the coach. The sensor can be very sensitive if on the edge of being level.

the pad used must be made of solid material. if it can be compressed, even a little, it is not suitable for a pad. the more similar material the greater the movement.
