HWH Steps Squeak

Our hydraulic steps squeak when going in or out. It is along the metal bars attached to the cover. See pic.

Candle wax, silicone sprays have not worked. Have yet to put grease on them.

Curious if anyone has ever adhered teflon tape to the metal bars?

Other solutions?

Thanks.

Try some white lithium grease in the spray can.

I use Boeshield T9 on all lube points of my steps and it works well to keep the squeaking down.

I recommend WD-40 Specialist PTFE spray. Wet spray, dry lube, nonsticking lubricant that basically never comes off. Also doesn't leave a color behind.

I did that and found most of the noise was the folding hinges, not the skid plate. Near 100% silent now.
