If you run into weight issues how about reducing the weight of the motorcycle? Instead of the 1250GS, try a 650 GS at around 400 lbs. Just another option and still have a motorcycle with you. I understand the need for a bike with you during your travels. Having ridden for 50 years this month, I would find it hard to leave home without one.

I actually have a couple different bikes I can take. I just wanted to make sure I could haul the biggest bike (1250GSA) if I wanted to. I also have a 650 and 900cc bike.
