In my 2005 MADP, all the fan coils are powered by an axial motor (2/coil computer type) except front coil in bottom of dash and this is a "C" frame motor coupled to small squirrel cages. Axil motors are generally quiet (thus in a computer) but don't move as much air. We have success in running Zone 1 (the front) including the dash coil and leaving the door open to the rear bedroom to get enough heat. Works for us down to mid 30"s. Jim

Well my first attempt at real winter camping was a bit of a failure the darn fans woke me up many many times per night. I thought my method of leaving the bathroom door open to block some of the sound would do the trick but no good. I tried some earplugs which helped a bit but was very uncomfortable.

Try getting a "white noise" generator like this one. Put it next to your bed. The constant "white noise" will mask out all other sounds. Most likely it's the on-off of the heat fans causing the sleep disruption. The "white noise" generator makes a constant sound which you will quickly adjust too, and then your ears will just ignore other sounds.
