For real-time road, traffic, and weather information(including live cameras) for the Western U.S.A. go to weathershare.org. The one stop shop for travelers.

I think I'm gonna re-route my trip
I wonder if anybody'd think I'd flipped
If I went to LA via Omaha!
DW was all over this. Its still a few weeks before we were supposed to stay at Grand Junction and Glenwood Springs. We are now travelling from SLC to Colorado Springs via Vernal and hwy 40.

It is a real mess right now and is having a huge impact. There is a great website for getting real-time information:

I’ll be heading to Carbondale in a few weeks, from Florida, and thinking about taking 14 out of Fort Collins and going through Steamboat Springs to Craig- south. I’ve driven 13 between Craig and Rifle, no problem. I don’t know anything about 14 to 40. Has anyone driven that route? W are in a 38’ VanLeigh towed by a Ram 3500 DRW.
