The ICC lights the rear and clearance lights when pushed if the vehicle lights are off or turns them off when pushed if the vehicle's lights are on. Generally a signal of thanks to a vehicle behind.

ICC stands for Interstate Commerce Commission which previously regulated transportation carriers. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration FMCSA took over for the ICC. Since the ICC regulated truck markings, lighting and reflectors, the switch that controled that lighting became knows as the ICC switch.
What it does on your motorhome is control the marker lights. When you depress the momentary ICC switch, the marker lights will flash as long as it is depressed. Try turning on your headlights while someone is behind you and pressing the switch. You'll see the marker lights flash off. On many rigs, pressing the switch while the lights are off will also turn them on.
The switch is commonly used as a way to signal "thanks" after you've been signaled by someone else flashing their headlights it's safe to change lanes.

A little clarification for those of us with the smart wheel....
On the smart wheel on the left side there is a "headlight" button and on the right side a marker light button....
When someone passes you, you blink your headlights to let them know it's clear to return i front of you...When YOU PASS someone and they've signaled you it's clear, then you blink the marker lights saying thanks when you get back in the lane...
Here's the Smart Wheel configuration...

Many thanks guys. It has been driving me mad since last November when we bought the Newmar. It didn't appear to do anything when I pressed it. Then again. I wouldn't see the marker lights while I was sat in the driver seat. Once again. MANY thanks.

Is that correct? The LEFT side looks like headlight symbol.

I think that Bob purposely did that. Realizing that JohnSandyWhite is from England and they drive on the other side of the road he naturally assumed that they would have the SmartWheel switches reversed too. He was merely trying to customize the post to fit the member's request.

You just put it in reverse and use the backup camera when driving.

I have never been confused in any vehicle I have ever driven apart from one (later). I have driven left and right hand drive cars/trucks/RV's on right hand, left hand and even in the middle. Of course I have also driven visa versa. I have even ridden a Cycle and a Motorcycle sat backwards on the handlebars.
The only time I was confused. Well not really confused. More like amazed. Was back in 1969 when I was touring the USA with the British Tournament and Tattoo. I was driving a Pontiac up Hollwood Boulevarde. I had to evade a car who swerved across the front of us. To cut a long story short. I did a 360 in the road, due to not being used to Power steering and Power Brakes. WOW. Did I learn fast to ***** foot on the steering and brakes.

Hey Ken - I will take delivery of a 2007 MADP 4523 on the 30th. The Comfort Drive was what sent me looking for a new coach - and it is amazing.
