I think I want a 07-08 Newmar 4153, Tell me about them

Still learning, but think this model best suits my needs for an older DP (is it a DP if the engine is in the middle?) with a flex/garage/work shop/extra sleeping arrangement in the back that opens to the side.

Did they come with comfort drive in the 08 era?
How many were made?
Did they have DPF? (I think they may not if all the chassis were purchased at once)

Any particular issues to be aware of if I find one?

I imagine you've been to the Newmar web site and collected the brochure.

But just in case , here's a copy .

Production numbers , I know another member was trying to get numbers on Dutch Stars built by year , and never did get the info he was after.

Does that mean total production, for the two years they were built, was 460 ?? Sounds high , considering how many I've seen advertised over the years.

I take that to mean that they had serial numbers from 460000-460999. But that doesn't mean they used all the numbers in there.

I am not opposed to an 08 with DPF. I have ways of working around a DPF.

I think it will likely come down to just finding one, and it being in good shape, year aside.

Correct, and I can't imagine there would be more than several hundred out there since they were introduced before and during the recession and a mid-engine was not too popular

A very interesting coach though

Good luck

I am sure that number is high. Seems fairly easy to find the bunkhouse models, but the 4153 and other garage variants seem to be pretty rare birds. Hopefully that doesn't push it out of my price range

46 units, 43 in 2007, 3 in 2008

Rear entry 4257, 17 in 2008, 8 in 2009

Honestly more than I was expecting, but still a rare find.

Hey...I was poking around the Forum and came across your Post...

I own a AllStar 4257 and run the AllStar Owners Facebook Group...anything you'd like to know regarding the AllStar or the 4153/4257 - I'm sure I can answer!

It's a rare bird for sure...and they very occassionally come up for sale...although a 4153 is for sale right now...

Let me know!
