Ideas on where to go from Newmar Factory in late May

Need a few ideas on where to go from Nappanee after we pick up our coach (43'DS) in mid May. We should be leaving the factory about May 22nd or 23rd.

Could use some thoughts as this is our 1st coach

The big issue is that that following weekend is Memorial Day.

Is it too early in season to go to Michigan? & what is there to do & see there?

Also thinking about Nashville and then west to AZ.

We will be heading to Arizona & could use ideas on what to see on the way to AZ.

Any help & thoughts would be very appreciated.

Shoot down to I 10 and stop at Orange Beach Alabama, then New Orleans, San Antonio River Walk, Caves of Sonora and on to Arizona.

The trip to Nashville is a great idea. We've done it twice, and we are going back the end of the summer. If you like music this is the place to go.

We're scheduled & confirmed for Nappanee factory maintenance in June. Also plan to do the factory tour while there.

Still building our trip, starting from our home base in Louisiana, we're doing Mobile AL (see some friends there 2-nights), Dandridge TN (Pigeon Forge/Gatlingburg, Nashville area visits 6-nights), then to Nappanee IN (6-nights) - from there we're heading to to Cleveland to visit the R&R hall of fame (2-nights), then onto Grand Island NY/Niagara Falls (5 nights) .....

Still working on the rest of the trip and return our plans are pointing to the New England States of CT, NH, MA, NY, PA and DC, before heading back south via the East Coast of VA, NC, SC, GA, onto FL where after we'll head back home.

All in we figure this trip will be something in the area of 12-14 weeks just trying to fill the gaps between our set waypoints and working on the return itinerary now.

We have an appointment at the factory for May 22 for our 2016 London Aire and we are wondering where to go after that. We are thinking about going to Dearborn, Michigan for Memorial Day to see the Ford museum. Then, I have always seen advertisements for the Hearthside Motorcoach Resort in Michigan. We are thinking about going there in June and stay a couple of weeks. Then head north into the Upper Peninsula and over to Wisconsin. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Michigan Sites to See

We went thru Michigan last year. If you get far enough north, Check out: Gilmore Car Museum, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Mackinac Island and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore on Lake Superior.

Regards, Jerry

Easy 2 day run to DC area. Lots to see and do there !. Stay at Cherry Hill RV Park. Shuttle Bus runs from Park to Subway station, then subway takes you into the middle of DC.
Definitely want to book a spot now. Will fill quickly for Memorial Day weekend.

Thank you,
But we are heading west to AZ.
Just retired & moved from southeastern PA so we have done the eastern corridor for the last 60 years.
As I said, heading west not farther east.

Please let us know how far north you can go in your LA. I've heard that roads and CGs are tight up there. I definitely have Northern MI on my list. I met a guy on a flight that has a winery way up around Traverse City - has a store front there and his winery is like 40 miles away. I'd like to sample his wares and he only sells locally.
